The town of Balchik is situated on the sea coast itself, at a distance of 501km from the capital of Sofia and 36km north-east of of Varna. It is nearby the resorts Kranevo, Albena and Golden Sands as well as the municipal towns of Dobrich and Kavarna. Balchik is a tourist attraction, not only because of The Palace Complex and the biggest and most diversified Botanical Garden on the Balkans, but because of its ancient atmosphere, well preserved during the ages.
